Hi Stephanie I'm glad to do this interview
Can you introduce yourself to the visitors of cinema-movietheater.com?
Greetings! I've always been an actor, in theater, film, and tv, in Denver, Los Angeles and New Mexico. I've been in hundreds of plays.
I started dressing up my puppies and kittens and doing spook houses and lip-synced Beatles albums, charging the neighborhood kids a penny to come and watch, when I was 10 years old. I'm also an
astrologer and hypnotherapist,
I take care of 10 horses, 30 goats and 2 alpacas at Mandy's Farm here in Albuquerque.
I love life in all its complexity, peoples stories, how we navigate our time here is heart breaking and painful and amazing and surprising and wonderful.
What could you tell us about your character Georgia?
Georgia is a self sufficient, highly resourceful, compassionate but kick ass part of the community and Mike's Mother. Mike is Parker's, (played by Jessica Alba), best friend , and Georgia is part of the team that helps Parker and Mike solve the mystery surrounding and avenge the murder of Parker's fathers.
What did you like when you read the script of this movie?
I love action and vigilante films. I love it when the bad guys get what they deserve and especially from a highly trained, lethal woman.
I loved that a woman was the hero,
meting out her own brand of justice.
How did you prepare for your role?
I learned my lines! I am a mother and I hate bad guys, it was easy.
How is the shooting with Jessica Alba, Mark WebberAnthony, Michael Hall..... and the director Mouly Surya?
Jessica Alba is the most generous,
loving actress I've ever worked with. She knew exactly what she wanted and how to get it.
She was so present and available and prepared, she made it all look easy. Most of my scenes were with Gabriel Basso and he is funny and delightful, he brought such humor and realism to
his role.
I didn't work with Anthony Michael Hall or Mark Webber, but Mouly Surya was so creative and knew how to capture the complexity of the story beautifully.
Where is the movie shot?
The movie was shot at Netflix Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico and north of Albuquerque in Galisteo for the scenes I was in. There were various other locations in an around this area for all the other scenes.
When and why did you choose to be an actress?
I put on plays in my back yard ever
since I was 10 years old. It was just always something I did. It's always been a part of me - it was never really a choice, it was always just me.
What is your next challenge / project?
I'm always involved in theater and the next play will be Eugene O'Neil's, Anna Christie. I also have a role in The Lost Bus starring Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera, directed Paul
Greengrass about the lethal Camp Fire in Paradise, California.
Do you wish to add something ?
Trigger Warning is great good fun and I
had a fantastic time shooting it.
Thank you very much for your interview Stephanie and I wish you all the best.
