Exclusive interview with Leela Owen, American Actress

Hi Leela, I'm glad to do this interview.
Can you introduce yourself to the visitors of cinema-movietheater.com?
Thank you for having me. I am so excited! Hello everyone!!! My name is Leela Owen! I am an actress, model, and influencer.
I have 42.5k followers over Instagram and Tik Tok and am signed with Houghton Talent in Atlanta and Vault Entertainment Management in LA. In my 6 years of being in the acting industry, I’ve had the
honor to do many movies and TV shows for Netflix, HBO Max, Disney Plus, Nickelodeon/Paramount Plus, ABC Network, and more!
I’ve also been able to do some commercials for Frito Lay and Pharma, lots of music videos for MattyBraps, and modeling print ads for companies like Twyneo and Children’s Healthcare of
Atlanta!
What did you like in your Character Annalise?
Originally, my character Annalise actually had a few lines.
This happens often with filming where you will film stuff and it will get cut out in the editing process.
The lines that my character had were very comedic and I really liked that. I liked that she was the comedic relief of the scenes she was in, and she was a little bit sassy. She was a very fun
character to play even though not all of her scenes/lines made it in the final edit!

I loved the action packedness of the
script (if that is a word).
There was stuff constantly happening to make it interesting! I also liked how there were so many different storylines within the main one.
You have the kids story, the parent’s and kids story, the mom’s story, and the main action packed spy story. There was no way to be bored even when just reading the script.
How did you prepare for your role?
To prepare for this role I read the script as many times as possible to figure out what my character's exact purpose in the film was so I could execute that purpose. I also freshened up on my soccer
playing skills a little!

Are you watching during the
broadcast?
No!
How is the shooting with Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, McKenna Roberts..... and the director Seth Gordon?
Shooting with everyone was so truly amazing.
On one of the earlier days of filming, Jamie actually pulled me to meet his daughter who was on set with us watching that day.
Her name is Annalise and Jamie (being a producer on the film) named my character after her! He had never done that on a film before so he was very excited for us to meet in honor of that.
She was LOVELY and Jamie ended up inviting me to their house in Atlanta that weekend to hang out and go shopping and get dinner! It was one of the coolest moments, everyone was the best.
We even had a jam session in their basement that night. Cameron Diaz was also amazing. She taught me how to throw a football on set one day.
Mckenna was probably the one I spent the most time with considering all of my scenes were with her. She was the coolest, and we actually became really good friends by the end of filming.
She was a joy to spend time with. Her mom too! Seth was a wonderful director. He was so easy to talk to and kind.
He would also ask our input on certain things which was really cool to experience on set. It was an honor to work with all of them!

Where is the show shot?
The film was shot mainly in England and
for about 2 months in Atlanta which is where my filming part came in!
When and why did you choose to be an actress?
I chose to become an actress when I was about 15 years old. I was on set one day as a background character for Spiderman Homecoming, and I just felt so at home being on set. I had a sense of purpose
there that I had never felt before, and I knew I needed to do more in that world. When I signed with my acting agency and started being on set more, I started to love it even more and knew that I had
found my calling.
What did you like when you do
of Martial Arts and Stunts?
The only stunt I have ever done was for a DC Comics show called Doom Patrol that was on HBO Max.
I climbed up a well with a harness on and had to meet beforehand with a stunt coordinator for safety and for instructions on exactly what to do in the scene.
I thought it was an absolute blast to execute, and I would love to do more stunts in the future! I’ve especially always wanted to do a fight scene!
What is your next challenge /
project?
My next project coming out is another Netflix project. It is a show by Tyler Perry called She The People, and it’ll be out sometime this year!

This film is remarkably effective for a comedy, featuring Cameron Diaz's return to the screen after a 10-year absence, and Jamie Foxx; they make a remarkable
duo.
All the actors and actresses are excellent in their roles.
We had a great time watching this movie
