Exclusive interview with Farihin Ufiya a Malaysian Actress

Hi Farihin , I'm very glad to do this interview 

Could you tell us about your character Nabila  in Suraya ?
Nabila is a cheery aspiring social media influencer.
I believe that she is the kind of character that grows on you, making her a great protagonist.
The challenges she experiences throughout the film reveal the depth of her character and subsequently, her more endearing qualities. 

What did you like when you read the script?
It is a relatively fresh take on the local horror flick.
It does not rely on overloading the viewers' nervous system with jump-scares;
it seeks to elicit a kind of eeriness instead, which is bold and admirable.

How was the filming with your co-stars and the director Feisal Azizuddin ?
The filming naturally presented a lot of challenges, but perhaps that is what makes the craft exciting.
The production team was very accommodating throughout the filming, I feel very fortunate to have worked with such an encouraging and passionate team. 

Did you perform with your co-stars before ?
No, I have not. It was my first time working with anyone on the team. 

When did you discover your passion for cinema ?
When I was about 16, I realized that films allow for a lot more control over the consumer's experience in comparison to other artistic mediums; it can rivet the senses very effectively, which I find very exciting.
