Hi Rachel, I am very happy to do this interview.
Could you introduce yourself to the visitors of cinema-movietheater.com?
I'm Rachel Colwell, I'm a Canadian-born First Nations actress who played Madison Macmillion in season 1 of Tracker.
What do you like when you read the script?
When I first read the script I like that the story moved, it had good pacing, stakes, action and relationships. I liked that at its core it was a story of a family.
And what did you think when you discovered your character Madison McMillion (S1 . E10)?
I liked that she was a strong, responsible daughter and big sister.
I respected her sense of duty and compassion for both her brother and the weight of the family business.
Can you tell us how you got your role?
I auditioned via self tape and was delighted to have been offered the oppourtunity to play Madison.
How was the shooting with Justin Hartley, Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany ,..........and the director Larry Teng?
So I only worked directly with Justin Hartley and Director Larry Teng.
This was my first time working with Justin and it was a true honor and a delight. He's a great guy, who leads the show with positive energy and a great sense of humour.
Larry Teng I'm a huge fan of. I had worked with Larry previously on another show called Nancy Drew and I have a deep sense of respect for him as an artist, a leader and as a person. Forever grateful
to Larry.
Where is this TV serie shot?
In and around Vancouver, Canada.
Do
you watch yourself, during the TV broadcast?
haha, I try not to but eventually you have to.
When and why did you choose to become an actress? Is it a film, an actress.........?
I got into it almost by accident and started off working my first job as an actor at age 12. It opened up a world of fun and creativity that I didn't know existed.
I knew pretty quickly that I enjoyed the work and the whole world of film production and have just carried on through the highs and lows since then.
You win *3 awards until today.
What memories do you have of it?
I've gotten so lucky to have the opportunity to be recognized multiple times by the Leos.
The first time I won I was only 16 and it probably set me on a path to continue taking acting seriously as a profession into adulthood.
What
is your next challenge / project?
I have an indie horror shoot coming up for the Writer Director Henry McComas. Look out for that!
Thank
you very much for your interview Rachel, I wish you the best.
Thank you!
