Hi Trinity, I am very happy to do this interview.

Thank you. So am I!

Could you introduce yourself to the visitors of cinema-movietheater.com?
Hi! I’m Trinity Bliss! You may know from me the Avatar: The Way Of Water, where I play Tuk Sully. You may also know me from The Life Of Chuck, where play Cat McCoy. I’m in love with different forms of storytelling, especially music and acting.

What do you like when you read the script?
I went through all the emotions reading the script. I wish I could read it for the first time again.

Even just reading the words still on the page, it was so cool to discover more of the OG characters, more of Pandora,… For the Avatar:

The Way Of Water script, I was getting to meet my character and immediately grew so fond of her.

For the Avatar: Fire and Ash script, I was getting to grow with Tuk and continue to discover her.

I remember reading the scripts on set, which was the only place I would be allowed to read these top secret magical pages, and starting to highlight. I just immediately got so excited and felt wildly happy.

Feeling the script in a whole new way at our table read, and then when filming was probably the best part.

And what did you think when you discovered your character Tuktirey « Tuk »?
I immediately fell in love with her. I was so excited to just dive into her, be her, spend time with her, and grow with her.

I remember being inspired by her fearless moments. I remember relating to her in a lot of ways. I remember immediately feeling an impossible itch to just get into it all!

Can you tell us how you got your role?
Through a classic audition process that was all in person.

I met with the lovely casting director, Margie Simkin, a few times, which led to a screen test with Jim.

I used a sample set of sides that I picked, did a bunch of improv, had many fun conversations… It’s crazy to look back on because I had no idea the journey that awaited.

How did you prepare for your role?
I watched the original Avatar movie soooo many times. During the audition process, I watched it over and over again, on the car ride there and back. During training, I’d do the same in the car movie routine.

I’d also watch it at home and mimic Neytiri’s movements or cool Na’vi specifics.
We had a three month training process, which was a really cool time to bond with my cast and crew members.

I had a blast learning from the pros, everything from the Na’vi language to Na’vi accent to archery to parkour to movement to free diving.. and so much more! Those 3 months were so helpful to really grow into Tuk thanks to experiencing her culture, her world, her relationships, her Na’vi quirks, and figuring out how to add specific Tuk quirks to intertwine with everything.
Something I’m also really passionate about is music.

I feel like an unintentional and important way that I prepared for Tuk was how

I loved writing songs from Tuk’s perspective or inspired by the self discoveries

I was making through her and through my whole Avatar experience.

Every day after training or, later on, filming, I would go home and strum my guitar or tinkle those piano keys. I would just start singing, writing stuff down, creating, expressing,.. and I felt so connected to her!

How was the shooting with Zoe Saldaña, Kate Winslet, Edie Falco......... and the director James Cameron?
They are lovely people. I admire their dedication to the craft so much!!!

Do you watch yourself during the film screening?
I wasn’t really able to focus on myself the first couple of times.

There was too much to take in, and I was emotionally bursting from the story as well as my personal emotions. I wish I could watch it for the first time all over again.

I read on your IMDb Pro "Avatar 4" (2029) Tuktirey (as Trinity Bliss). Did you have more information about of this Avatar 4?
Avatar 4 (and 5) continue to take things to the next level!

There’s a time jump which makes me so, so so excited to bring to life teenage Tuk. Avatar 2 and 3 have set this path with awesome character building and world building. It’s so exciting how much deeper we get to go with 4 and 5.

I’m praying and crossing my fingers that we get to finish this beautiful story with 4 and 5.

When and why did you choose to become an actress?
I’m lucky I found what I really love to do so early.

I always loved role play, improv, making up stories, making up characters, watching films, watching shows… the path unraveled like some kind of fate.

I’m not sure there was a moment I “chose” it. I just love it!!

What is your next challenge / project?
I’m releasing my original music!!
I just dropped my debut single to a new era and a coming collection of songs.
I’m so excited to share my songs with the world.
I’m so excited for what comes next on the acting side. I would loveeeee to do a rom com, I would love to dive into the horror genre sometime soon,… there’s so much I’m excited to jump into.

I’m excited to continue growing as a person and a creative.
I have not yet approached the “challenge” and “project” of getting my license. I’ve thought about it so much though haha! It’s been so busy that I haven’t started the process, but I’m very excited to have that milestone moment.

I’m perfectly satisfied with Passenger Princess because my mom always gives me aux, and I love being the dj when in the car.

Music, conversations, deep thoughts.. just hit different in the car.

Do you have anything else you'd like to add?
avatar: fire and ash comes out December 19th in theaters everywhere!!

You will have the best time, and I can’t wait for you to experience the film.
Also, I just released a song called “You Make Me Wanna Dance”.

I wrote it after experiencing some of the high school dances, parties, and cliches that I’d always longed for. I was inspired by the electricity that filled the air and my heart.

The song is pages from my diary where, even with some overthinking, I still felt restless to take a chance.

The song is everything I wanted it to be, and I am so happy. When you listen, I hope it makes you feel the magic I did when I wrote it.

Thank you very much for your interview, Trinity. I wish you the best.
That’s so kind. Same to you!
