Exclusive interview with Katie Stone, Canadian Actress

Can you introduce yourself to the visitors of cinema-movietheater.com?
Hello Jean Paul,
It’s very nice to meet you and thank you for offering me this opportunity to
talk to you about my Role in in the Netflix Film My Secret Santa.
I’m an Actor in B.C. Canada and I was very happy to be part of this Fun
Filled Holiday Film!
 

What do you like in your character Tweed Lady and in the script when you
read it?
I liked that the character Tweed Lady was a ‘no nonsense’ character who
likes to go by the rules and doesn’t mind telling others to do the same.
However she does this with a bit of dry humour underneath her stern
exterior.

How did you prepare for your role?
I prepared for the role by seeing myself as a patron of the environment I
was in during my Scene and asking myself “how would I react in that
situation?”

Can you tell us how you got your role?
Yes. I got the role by submitting a Self Tape Audition to my Agent.
She then submitted it to the Casting Director.
Once I was Short Listed for the role I provided my availability to say I was
able to work on the day I was needed.

How is the shooting with Madison MacIsaac, Ryan Eggold, Alexandra
Breckenridge .......... and the director Mike Rohl?
I mainly worked with Alexandra and Mike Rohl. Both of them were
Fantastic to work with ! All the Cast and Crew I interacted with were
wonderful as well !

Where is shot this movie and where?
The Movie was shot in B.C. up at the top of a Mountain at a Resort this
past February 2025.

What do you like at Christmas?
I like a lot of things at Christmas. I especially enjoy all the lights in my
home and the outdoor lights in the neighbourhood.

They really brighten up the dark days of December as here in B.C. it gets dark at 4:30 pm.
Of course I also enjoy all the Christmas Baking and visiting with family &
friends.

When and why did you choose to be an actress?
I chose to be an Actress quite a few years ago while living here just
outside of Vancouver, B.C. Canada.
I was Cast in a Musical Theatre Community Production of “The Best
Christmas Pageant Ever!”
It was during this Play that I got what us Actors like to say is “The Acting
Bug”. After the Play I continued to pursue my Dream of becoming a Film
and TV Actress. This was achieved through Training and initially working
in Student and Independent Films.

Do you watch yourself, when the movie will release on Netflix?
Yes I will be watching the Movie on Netflix when it is released on
December 3 2025

What is your next challenge / project?
My Next Project that is coming out is of me in an Episode of a new TV
Show called Private Eyes West Coast starring Jason Priestly.
There is another Film out right now on the Hallmark Channel and in
Canada on the W Network that I was lucky enough to be Cast in. It’s called
Merry Christmas Ted Cooper.

Do you wish to add something ?
I enjoy working as an Actress and look forward to many more projects in
the New Year. I have also travelled for some of the roles I’ve had in
Commercials and Film and TV.
This past February took me to Argentina to film a Commercial. The Film
Industry is very fulfilling for me and I’ve very Grateful. Thank You :)
