Hi Aaron, I am very happy to do this interview.

Could you introduce yourself to the visitors of cinema-movietheater.com?

Hello my name is Aaron Paul Stewart, I am an actor working out of Vancouver, British Columbia.
I have been acting professionally since early 2015.
Prior to that I found a deep love for acting in both film and theatre in High School and later on I attended Capilano University's Acting for Stage and Screen Program.
I am repped by Emilio Salituro at Lucas Talent Inc.

What do you like when you read the script?

Much to your surprise I didn't get a chance to read a full script, in part due to the 2023 WGA Writers Strike.
I booked this project back in June of 2023 but didn't get round to shooting my scenes until February 2024. With that being said, I was ecstatic to be given an opportunity to work on this project.
When my agent told me it was for the latest TRON film I was immediately excited to get on set.  I remember watching TRON: Legacy for my birthday when I turned 16. Naturally I was very excited when I got the call to be part of the project.

And what did you think when you discovered your character Cyber Security Pete?

First and foremost I was quite excited to have a name and as someone who's been a fan of sci fi films it was really cool to have an iconic line like “Initiate security protocol” into the barrel of the camera.
Lines like that remind me of films like Total Recall or Alien so again I thought that was really quite cool.

Can you tell us how you got your role?
What is always very interesting to me as an actor in Vancouver is that we will traditionally get an audition request with a lot of NDA or perhaps even codenames or vague info for the project we are auditioning for.
I believe this one fell under the name VELCRO.
Much like any taped audition request I got the material I needed to prepare and shot it in my self tape studio and sent it into the great beyond.
Eventually gave me the update that I had indeed booked the role. I was very excited to be part of this large scale project.

How did you prepare for your role?

Ultimately my biggest goal as an actor is to understand the world I am stepping into. Especially with an established franchise like TRON there is a lot of style and texture to the world both inside the programs as well as outside.
On top of that in my scene our security systems are being hacked and I am someone who is tasked to monitor any disruptions so it was very important for me to understand what was at stake and immerse myself in the urgency of the situation.

How was the shooting with Jared Leto, Greta Lee........ the director Joachim Rønning?

Unfortunately I didn't get an opportunity to meet or interact with Ms. Lee or Mr. Leto but I was fortunate enough to work with Joachim quite extensively. Joachim has such a clear vision of the world he wanted to bring to life, and you could tell, even in the transitional scenes, how excited and invigorated he would get when collaborating on how to achieve the tone and energy of the scene in front of him.
His attention to detail was truly something I admired when working with him.

Where is this movie shot?
This movie was shot in my hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia Canada.

Do you watch yourself when the movie is released?

Yes, my brother and I saw it in IMAX alongside my friends and colleagues. It was very surreal to see myself projected on an IMAX screen, something I will always cherish.

When and why did you choose to become an actor? Is it a film, an actor.........?

As long as I can remember I always adored film, my father first got me and my brothers into films like Star Wars and The James Bond films.
As I grew older I just became more and more curious with film and how it was made and was fortunate enough to have a drama programme at my high school that was run by a truly brilliant woman by the name of Patti Hillman.
I would say she was my first and most valued mentor in my life.
She saw I was passionate about something and encouraged me to pursue a post-secondary education and later on a career in the arts.
I still continue to take classes and train at studios in the city with coaches like Andrew McIlroy and Ben Immanuel who have continued to push me in my craft in amazing ways.

What is your next challenge / project?

That is a great question, nothing is in the books just yet. I did just get back from a much needed vacation in the UK where I reconnected with my family after some time, but I am back in the vein of auditioning and as I mentioned in the previous question I am deep into a scene study class.
I firmly believe if you aren’t working you should be “working out” and class allows me to strengthen those skills and impulses in my acting so that when the call does come I will be ready to present myself in the best way possible.

Do you have anything else you'd like to add?

If anyone is interested I have done some other stints on projects shot here in Vancouver including the series SUPERNATURAL, a Netflix film called BRAZEN and I have a pretty funny role in the 2018 Seth Rogen produced comedy called GOOD BOYS if anyone cares to check those out.
You can find me on IMdB for more info on those projects.

Thank you very much for your interview Aaron, I wish you the best.
