Hi Zoë, first, I'm very happy to do this interview about you.
Thank you, so am I.
What did you like about the storyline and your role in The Nutcracker
and the Four Realms ?
The Nutcracker is an old and well-known story, so first of all I think it is about time
that Disney are producing a version of the tale. I love the creativity of the toys
coming to life! Imagination is such an important quality to have, especially for
children. I hope this film will inspire children’s imaginations and let them dream
and believe in their own worlds and stories.
In ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ I portray a Flower Realm Creature.
The four realms are Sweets, Flowers, Ice, and Rats. My character is at
the heart of society in the Flower Realm and in general. She attends many events including the famous ballet.
How was the filming of The Nutcracker and the Four Realms ?
It was brilliant. Like any filming, it is very long hours and unpredictable when you
will be called to set. I remember one day I got in at 5:30 am and was on set at
6:30 pm 13 hours later. I love it though. Tough hours but the makeup and
costumes are so incredible, it is a pleasure to be wearing them and transforming
into your character. Being on set and creating this world that you are immersed
in is fascinating and incredible.
What do you like in Disney Franchise movie? and Would you like to do movie in Marvel Franchise too?
I would describe Disney as being more magical than Marvel.
Disney is the home of princesses, pirates, and my childhood. However,
I would love to be a part of the Marvel Franchise.
The world that has been brought to life out of the comic books is phenomenal.
They are strung so carefully together and the stories weave in and
out of each other more seamlessly than any franchise made before them.
They are a film masterpiece and I would be honoured to be a part of them.
Can you tell us more on your role and storyline of your next film
The King which release in 2019 in USA?
I play one of Philippa’s Ladies in Waiting in ‘The King’, which is to be released
by Netflix in 2019. Unfortunately, I am unable to release any storyline information.
When and why did you choose to be an actress?
At junior school I had my mind set on becoming a biologist; biology has always
fascinated me. I remember the moment my mind shifted was when I was 13 years
old. I was watching ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ for the first time and I fell in love
with the character, Jack Sparrow.
I looked him up and came across Johnny Depp,
vaguely recognising his name and face until I saw the top movies he had been in.
I had seen every one of them and not once had I recognised that it was the same
actor portraying all those different people.
That switched something in my brain.
I already acted as a hobby but it suddenly occurred to me that I could do this as a
job. I wanted to make other people feel what I did, so that is what I am
determined to do. And I have pursued that passion ever since.
What role would you like to play and what kind of film?
I want to spread my wings as much as possible as an actress; explore a wide
range of different characters and immerse myself in a variety of different worlds.
At the moment I am very interested in doing something action based.
What is your next challenge?
Building myself up and becoming wider known as an actress.
To keep improving and landing bigger jobs is my next foreseeable challenge.
Do you wish to add something?
Just thank you for your time. It was lovely speaking to you.
Thank you very much for your interview Zoë and I wish you
the best for your future.
